The Raptors are just short of the Bucks

No fourth straight win for Milwaukee, regularly beaten Toronto and his inexorable Quickley-Ingram duo (total of 54 points and 15 assists).
Excited after an encouraging first quarter, highlighted by Cam Thomas’ successful entry at the end of the period (27-22), the Bucks were quickly outwitted by the dominant Raptors on both sides of the floor. More diligent in defense, Darko Rajaković’s team could count on relieved Imanuel Kwikli in the attack, the author of the first 12 points of his team in the second quarter to get back to -1 (35-34)!
Lacking a relay behind Kevin Porter Jr. despite good passes from Bobby Portis, Myles Turner and Ryan Rollins, the Bucks were forced to surrender before halftime to a 3-point barrage by Jamison Battle, Ja’Kobe Walter (twice), Sandro Mamukelashvili and Immanuel Quickley (49-60).
The Quickley-Ingram tandem is in charge
Milwaukee created an illusion one last time after returning from the locker room by going back to -3 (59-62) before conceding 10-0 in the process, marked by a festival of Quickley Shead pair (59-72). Brandon Ingram then got hot, making four baskets, including two from behind the arc, to put the Bucks up for good with less than three minutes left in the third quarter (69-87).
Especially since Toronto didn’t give up, since after Colin Murray-Boyles’ baskets it was +20, Immanuel Quickley returned to the service and increased the gap to +25 with the last triple (82-107). Enough for a second straight away win, 122 to 94.
WHAT TO REMEMBER
Match for boss Immanuel Quickley. The Raptors’ leader dominated as they showed great composure. At the start of the second quarter, he didn’t need anyone to sound the alarm and was able to continue at the same pace, remaining efficient. His first 30-plus point game since his 40-point high just over a month ago against the Warriors.
Home premiere of Cam Thomas. The Bucks’ newest recruit has played the first three games away from home. That is why his first match at the Fiserv Forum was expected, and his entrance was accompanied by a nice ovation. The latter, however, could not warm up and settled for 15 points in 21 minutes, shooting 5/9. Same thing for Usman Dieng, who missed his domestic debut.
Bucks worst offensive game at home. With just 94 points on the clock, Milwaukee posted its worst offensive game of the season at home. This is the third-worst total of the season after losses to Brooklyn (127-82) and Boston (107-79). The defensive intensity imposed by the Raptors obviously has something to do with it.
