The Sacramento rookie pissed off the reporters after the Nuggets loss

The The Sacramento Kings’ season continues to unravelwith losses piling up and urgency growing throughout the locker room to find answers. Makime Raynaud was standing at his locker afterwards The Kings lost to the Denver Nuggets and chose calmness instead of frustration. With a dismal result that adds pressure to the skating seasonthe newcomer met directly with the press. In a video shared by Matt George of ABC10 Sports, Rainaud spoke calmlyeven as the weight of another warped night hung over the room.
When asked what was wrong, Raynaud redirected the conversation. “Honestly, guys, I don’t think it’s my role to tell you what questions you’re asking, but I don’t think it’s a good thing after a loss to just identify the wrong things and say the locker room isn’t doing well,” he said. The Kings rookie didn’t stop there. “They know how to face such difficult times.” For a second-round pick still learning the league, it was an impressive display of maturity.
Makime Raynaud backed it up with productioneven if the margin swallowed him up. The 42nd overall pick by the Kings scored 15 points on 7-of-13 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. He remained active. He remained aggressive. However, the numbers told a harsher truth. His minus-26 plus-minus reflected how quickly the game tilted when the Nuggets took control.
A tough lesson for the Kings against the Nuggets
Doug Christie said the energy of the Kings just wasn’t there. Denver made that clear early on. The Nuggets controlled the tempo from the opening tip, with Nikola Jokic directing everything on his way to 36 points and 12 rebounds in a 136–105 victory.
Sacramento never found a rhythm. The Kings shot 45 percent from the field and just 29 percent from three, lagged in rebounding and ball movement and watched every starter finish with a negative plus-minus. Only Precious Achiuva and Devon Carter avoided it, and the pressure came too late.
Now 6–19, the Kings are relying on rookie Maxime Reynaud’s composure as the losses pile up and urgency begins to define the season – but can that composure translate into the spark they need before it’s too late?
