The stars congratulate John Cena on his shocking IC title win at RAV

Finally, after more than two decades, WWE star John Cena is the Grand Slam champion after winning Dominic Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship on Monday night RAV.

Several superstars congratulated him on social media after the win. The current Women’s Intercontinental Champion, Becky Lynch, congratulated Cena while bragging about their “GOAT” status. They posed with their belts for the picture.

“The Intercontinental Championships. That’s a GOAT thing,” Lynch said. “We’re the greatest wrestlers of all time. We don’t say that. Everybody says that. Sports Illustrated says that. Bleacher Report says that. (Triple H) says that.”

Kofi Kingston, former four-time Intercontinental Champion, quotes-posted post from WWE on Cena’s win, saying, “Congratulations, kid. Welcome to the club. Took you long enough…”

The Miz, one of Cena’s oldest rivals, he joked that he needed it “long enough” to finally win the Intercontinental Championship. Still, he remains proud.

“Took you long enough,” Miz said. “You finally did it. Grand slam champion, congratulations, but here’s the thing. You won the title that I made prestigious. Which means when I win this tournament, I’m not just winning the gold… I’m bringing back the legacy (Miz vs. Cena).”

After more than two decades, Cena finally won the WWE Championship that alluded to him: the Intercontinental Championship. He defeated Mysterio in an impromptu match at RAV Nov 10

Cena opened the show by delivering a promo in Boston, near his hometown of West Newbury. He was interrupted by Mysterio, who was angry after last week’s events involving his father, Rey Mysterio.

However, Cena did not take kindly to Mysterio’s interruption. He challenged him to a match, “anywhere, anytime,” and Paul “Triple H” Levesque, who was standing in the ring with them, booked the match on the spot.

Mysterio put his Intercontinental Championship on the line in their match. This ended his 204-day Intercontinental Championship streak. He previously won it at WrestleMania 41 from Bron Breaker in a fatal four way match.
