The Suns give up on the Hawks and worry about Devin Booker

To wrap up their six-game road trip to the West, the Suns make one last stop Atlanta to challenge the Hawks and try to achieve their fourth consecutive success. The game started with 3-point shots and neither team was able to outscore the other.
At the end of this first act, Grayson Allen (16 points, 4 steals) followed the game-winning shot with two baskets in the paint, including one at the buzzer, giving Phoenix a four-point lead (31-27). Atlanta is counting on Luke Kennard to immediately return to the result. The last one fires an arrow from a long distance and then finds Mr. Okongwu (25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists). A short exchange of shots between the two teams then began and the Hawks eventually went on an 11-2 run to take an eight-point lead.
This “run” was ended by a game-winning basket by Dillon Brooks doc Devin Booker (31 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists) adds a long shot to tie the two teams. Always behind the arc, star phoenix then gives advantage to the guests (57-56). However, these are the rooms that lead to the changing rooms thanks to a CJ McCollum (21 points, 9/15 shooting) scored 16 points in the first half, including 14 in the second half (64-59).
Devin Booker shines before he gets hurt
After the break, Onyeka Okongwu and Nickeil Alexander-Walker they stand out from behind the arc and Kevin Snyder’s men lead by eleven points, which is the biggest gap in the match (70-59). However, the Hawks could not continue due to numerous turnovers. Offensive fumbles that Phoenix took advantage of to get back into the game. Devin Booker gives his team the lead with a mid-range basket, then increases the deficit with two baskets on the counterattack (91-84).
However, the turning point of the match happened at the beginning of the fourth quarter. As the Suns return to offense after a missed basket by CJ McCollum, Devin Booker accidentally steps on the foot of Onyeka Okongwu and his ankle turns. The four-time All-Star was forced to leave his teammates and will not be returning.
Without their master to make plays, the Suns offense struggles like this 5/20 shooting in the final quarter. Atlanta claws back to tie the game and then takes the lead Jalen Johnson (23 points, 18 rebounds, 9 assists). The Hawks won 110-103 for their second straight victory and ended the Suns’ three-game winning streak.
WHAT TO REMEMBER
The Hawks manage despite losing the ball. In the third quarter, the Hawks saw their lead melt like snow in the sun due to numerous turnovers. Quin Snyder’s men lost nine in the third act alone for a game-high 21, allowing Phoenix to first claw back and then take the lead. A problem that the Hawks corrected at the end of the game and could count on Jalen Johnson very close to a new triple-double with 23 points, 18 rebounds and 9 assists for the win.
Double penalty for the Suns. An evening to forget for Phoenix. In the first half, it was Jalen Green who has to leave his family because of a new tendon problem. Then, in the third quarter, he was imitated by Devin Booker, who was hit in the ankle. This injury is more problematic for Jordan Ott’s team as the guard was walking on water and already had 31 points entering the final act.
Phoenix crack at the end of the match. Without Devin Booker, the Phoenix offense led on the wing. The Suns completely missed their fourth quarter shooting 5/20 to end the game. Clumsiness epitomized by Dillon Brooks, who finished the game 4/18 and went on a four-shot streak in the final act that sounded like the death knell for his team.
