The Warriors have cut Seth Curry … for now

The preseason is over, the NBA’s 30 franchises are taking turns unveiling their regular-season offense squads, and Warriorstwo players were cut. It’s about Seth Curry et Lj Crier.
Unsurprisingly, Seth Curry isn’t being retained right now. Coming into training camp with a non-guaranteed contract, Stephen Curry’s younger brother is mostly paying for the Warriors’ delicate payroll, stuck under the second luxury tax apron. Like the Knicks in the East, the franchise can’t afford to sign a 15th player to a standard contract. However, according to Marc Steinthe door is not closed because staff would like to return it by mid-November, when a small budget margin is created.
For his part, Lj Crier, an undrafted rookie from Houston, did not win the “two-way contract“, and the young leader should join the G-League, as part of the Santa Cruz Warriors. Unless another franchise comes forward to sign him. Which is unlikely.
Following these departures, the Warriors now have 14 players under standard contracts, as well as three elements on “two-way contracts”.
Two-way contract : Designed to create a new bridge between the NBA and the G-League, this type of contract allows each team to secure the services of two or three additional players, to play with them mainly in their affiliate development league franchise, but also for up to 50 games in the NBA.
