The Warriors may have found the right formula

Warriors Stephen Curry Jimmy Butler Draymond GreenThe Warriors finished 2025 on a positive note with 18 wins and 16 losses, thanks tovictory in Charlotte. This is their 7th win in 11 games, and the schedule is pretty nice with 10 of the next 11 games played at the Chase Center. This month of January looks like a turning point for Steve Kerr and his players.

“Our offense is vastly improved; we’re scoring a lot more goals… That’s six games in a row with 120 points or more”, the Golden State coach underlined. “It’s been a long time since that happened. We really feel like we’ve found a better rhythm.”

Victory in the battle for the property

The efficiency in the attack is therefore increasing, and even if turnovers remain a problem, this fifth win in six matches proves that the team is on the right track. Listening to Steve Kerr, the group is better around their “big three” who are certainly old, but still essential to a good team performance.

“Steph, Dre and Jimmy are in a good rotation pattern now”continues Steve Kerr. “Everybody else just has to be ready when their name is called. With the pace of the game right now and the volume of 3-point shots, we’re going to have a lot of people playing, often in short bursts. It’s a little different, but you have to get used to it.”

What is changing is that the Warriors have found the right rhythm, and Draymond Green explains it best. Decisive last night at the end of the match by 3 points, inside believe that the Warriors “he still has to play fast, but not as fast as before”. “The battle for property is much more important” he specifies. “You get better situations in positional offense when you slow the game down, instead of chasing and losing the ball. We’re really trying to take care of them better, and then we have to be a great team defensively.”

Stability leads to consistency

What makes the difference is the stability in the rotation, especially in the top five. Tonight, Stephen Curry, Moses Moody, Jimmy Butler, Quinten Post and Draymond Green started the 7th game in a row.

“The coach tells us a lot about rotations and the need to be consistent, even if a lot of players are playing.” points out Stephen Curry. “This regularity is primarily about offensive organization and understanding where shots are going to be created. And the way we try to generate good shots using Jimmy with the ‘second unit’, then me and Draymond when we’re together to create plays. I think guys are starting to understand better, to ‘see’ the game better and play with confidence. That can give us confidence.
