The Wizards hit rock bottom…

THE Wizards He didn’t play for three days and the game against Houston on Wednesday night. They were at home and opposite Networks had the same terrible and bad record as them. Everything seemed to be in place to allow Washington to win the second meeting of the season. Except that… Brooklyn won by 23 points !

This 11th defeat in a row is perhaps the worst. You only had to see Brian Keefe’s face at the press conference to realize this. Completely dejected, the coach went through a rage phase.

“We started well, but as soon as there were problems, we gave up and that disappointed me”, if I complain-t-the. “We made mistakes we shouldn’t have made, we couldn’t resist certain runs. That’s everybody’s responsibility and that’s what bothers me the most: There was no mood and no attitude. When we were hit, we didn’t respond.”

The foul trouble from Alex Sarr, the team’s defensive anchor, obviously didn’t help. The Frenchman went out for six fouls, after only 23 minutes of playing on the floor. But Brian Keefe didn’t want that to be an excuse. “It’s a factor, but we made stupid mistakes”he insists.

Crisis Meeting and Finding Answers

Faced with these results and this level of play, what else can the coach of Washington do?

“Look in the mirror. What can we do better? Stay collectively united”he said, stating the generalities. “We have a good group, with good people in this dressing room. They are disappointed, I know that. We all are.”

Kishawn George he also specified that after this mishap, the players held a small meeting in the dressing room, without the presence of their coach. “We want to make sure we get things back to square one. We said what needed to be said, so we can come back with the right mindset afterwards. It’s good to say things to each other and it can help us move in the right direction.”indicates the player.

And what was Brian Keefe’s speech like before this moment? “That we have to look in the mirror and ask ourselves deep questions. It’s so much more than basketball: what we really want in life, what we want to build, what we want to do with this franchise. These questions have to be answered accurately.” And what are the right answers? “we’ll see”concludes Kishon George.
