There is no certain return for Treo Young and Anthony Davis
Two questions will occupy the end of the season for the Wizards. The first isn’t very encouraging, except from a draft perspective: Will they finish with the worst record in the Eastern Conference, behind Indiana and Brooklyn? The second one is more exciting: Trae Young etc Anthony Davis Will he wear a Washington jersey by April? Days pass and the answer remains unclear.
Both All-Stars have been reviewed in recent days. So where are they? For a playmaker, the franchise says yes he “progressing in a positive way” when for the interior he adds that it is “progressing as planned”.
Nothing concrete, but we do know that Trae Young will gain strength in practice and a new update will be made in a week. As a reminder, the former Hawks suffered right knee and quadriceps injuries and has not played since December 27, 2025.
As for Anthony Davis, he is suffering from a ligament injury in his left hand. The former Laker and Mavericks has been stuck in the infirmary since January 9, the day after his last game. For now, it is impossible for the 2020 champion to continue training and he will be examined again in two weeks, according to the Wizards.
“We’re following the process. That’s what we’ve always done and we’re sticking to it.”, commented Wizards coach Brian Keefe. “The point will be scored in a week for Young, in two for Davies, but we’re taking it day by day.”
