To fill out their team, the Nuggets are studying the running back of Lonzo Ball

Lonzo Ball and the NuggetsFrom the transition to Hunter Tyson in Brooklyn, the Nuggets have two spots on their roster. Denver therefore has to fill one of its two spots with a 14th player before February 19th. The most obvious way is Spencer Joneswhich currently has a “two-way” contract. The winger has been one of the nice surprises of Colorado’s season and has been able to use an avalanche of injuries to find his place in David Adelman’s rotation.

However, the Nuggets front office hopes to be able to sign two players without going over the luxury tax threshold. If the first contract went to Spencer Jones, who could join the gang Nikola Jokic ?

“We have interesting conversations,” confie David Adelman. “On the one hand, you can look and say, ‘We’ve got injuries on these posts. We need to recruit a player who can take somebody’s spot if he doesn’t come back.’ On the other hand, you might say to yourself, “I don’t know what team we’re going to play in the playoffs and every team in the West requires something different. We may need another ball handler. Or maybe a bigger one given the current absences on our wings.”

Lonzo Ball soon in Colorado?

Denver is therefore considering a winger for compensation injuries from Peyton Watson and d“Aaron Gordon.” who are expected to miss all of February before returning for the home leg. however, reports the Denver Post that the Nuggets’ priority would not be to find a player capable of filling the holes on the wings.

Denver would therefore prefer to take the best player available on the market. After signing Cam Thomas auk Bucks, Lonzo Ball is positioning himself as one of the best “free agents” available.

Transferred in Utah before he was cut off, leader could interest the Nuggets, again according to the Denver Post.

“I have full confidence in John (Wallace) and Ben (Tenzer)” says David Adelman about his relationship with the two Nuggets vice presidents, who will have the final say on decisions. “They give me a lot of information and I tell them what I think. If we’re going to add someone to the team, it has to be a wise choice. If you sign someone, you could have had a million reasons to prefer someone else just because of the opponents you’re going to face in the playoffs. Playing Minnesota is very different than playing Oklahoma City. These two teams have a goal right now.”
