Toronto agrees to a one-year deal with a top 10 pick
The Toronto Raptors found room to add one previous high profile NBA draft select a week. The past six top draft picks at that point Mo Bamba. And the move arrives with RJ Barrett is coming returned from injury against the Golden State Warriors.
ESPN NBA Insider Shams Charania broke the news that the 2018 No. 6 overall pick. going north.
“Mo Bamba has agreed to a one-year deal with the Toronto Raptors, Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports and Greer Love tell ESPN,” Charania posted on social media website X, formerly Twitter.
The now 27-year-old was last seen outside of the NBA.
“Bamba averaged 16.5 points and 12 rebounds in the G League in Salt Lake City and now brings needed size to the Raptors’ frontcourt for his eighth NBA season,” Charania added.
Has the new Raptors signee become an NBA player?

The Raptors become Bamba’s sixth different NBA franchise to play for. And that doesn’t include his stops in the G-League.
The Utah Jazz represent his last employer since two months ago. But the Western Conference franchise waived him before the season started.
The 7-foot talent arrived in the league amid much pre-draft hype. He impressed scouts and teams with a massive 7’10” wingspan. Bamba was also called a “quality starter” by Bleacher Report ahead of his first professional game. He even had a popular hip-hop song named after him played during college football games across the country.
However, there have been concerns about his rim shooting and ability to compete for the basket through contact.
Bamba eventually became an invitee one of the 10 most disappointing NBA draft picks of all time. He averaged no more than 10.6 points per game in any league season. He spent most of his time with the Orlando Magic for five seasons.
Now he comes in to potentially bolster the frontcourt for the head coach Darko Rajaković. Especially with the Raptors fighting for a playoff spot.
