Tough guy Andre Drummond acts like a fan clown

The Philadelphia 76ers and the Orlando Magic had an eventful night in the NBA Cup on Tuesday at Xfinity Mobile Arena.

While the result was skewed in favor of Magicthere was still plenty of action, especially when it mostly had nothing to do with basketball.

In the second quarter, the 76ers center Andre Drummond and the Magic Center Wendell Carter Jr. got into a heated argument. As shown in the video reported Magic reporter Zach Maskavich, Drummond repeatedly grabbed Carter’s jersey from behind until Carter was pushed away. In response, Drummond shoved Carter into a fighting stance. But Carter was carefree – even amused.

As with most NBA fights, nothing really happened. The fans, however, had a field day mocking the 32-year-old Drummond.

“Carter doesn’t even flinch,” he said @BEAzIBEANz.

“Nobody’s Afraid of Drummond”, echoed @Carlos01746425.

Of course, @SaltiMagic91 had to run it the famous incident between the late Kobe Bryant and former Magic winger Matt Barnes.

@MeteAktas had perfect caption for Drummond’s follies.

“The Sixers are a clown show, bro,” he added @Unknovn77092459.

For what it’s worth, it looked like Drummond was just trolling, because he laughed out loud afterward. He has a colorful personality.

Magic guard Jalen Suggs was ejected from the game after entering combat. He shoved Drummond before getting into a tackle with 76ers forward Jabari Walker. Suggs finished with four points, five rebounds, 11 assists, two steals and two blocks in just 16 minutes.

Drummond has played well for the 76ers in the absence of star Joel Embiid, who is still nursing a knee injury.
