Trae Young earns awards for both Luka Doncic and Anthony Edwards

Atlanta The Hawks put together a team this season which could be one of the more competitive ones in the Eastern Conference. Trae Young he will be the engine of the team, and he has shown throughout his career that he can lead the group, regardless of who is playing. Despite the narratives that may have been created about Young, the players knows what it brings for the table, including his newest teammate, Nikhil Alexander-Walker.

Alexander-Walker played with Anthony Edwardsand there were stories about him as well. He thinks Young and Edwards are similar when it comes to their demeanor, but he sees it in a positive light, unlike the others.

“Ant has a very strong personality,” Alexander-Walker said, via ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk. “Trey has a strong personality. He just comes off different. And so when guys are very confident and aware of who they are, to the untrained eye it can be arrogance. It can be confidence.”

“Trey has confidence. Ant, Shai (Giljus-Alexander), Luka (Doncic) has confidence. … But (Young) still carries a lot of pressure. And he’s worked through his pressure.”

Young has thrived in a variety of situations since he began his career and probably wouldn’t have made it if he didn’t have that confidence.

Kristaps Porzingis compares Treo Young, Luka Dončić

Young is known as one of the best playmakers in the league, and he has the stats to back it up. He knows how to make his teammates look good, and Kristaps Porzingis could thrive in his role with the Hawks. Porzingis played with another great playmaker previously in Luka Dončić, and he uses that experience while playing with Young.

“Playmaking, they both have it at the highest level,” Porzingis said. “They do some similar things, honestly. Their builds are different. But they’re both master minds in reading the basket, anticipating what’s going to happen, reading the game, anticipating what’s going to happen.”

“That experience (with Doncic in Dallas) will definitely help me. Playing with Luka and having open conversations and open dialogues with Tre about what he likes, where he wants to get the ball and how to make his life easier.”

Young will make everyone’s life easier when they’re on the floor with him, and he can also improve things and get going.
