Trae Young gets major props from CJ McCollum, Bian Robinson

Since it is The Washington Wizards traded for star point guard Trae Youngthere is no doubt that there has been excitement in the team since their recent struggles. As Young is excited to be with the Wizardshe’s not the only one, as many have shared their delight at the move on social media.

Young would share his new jersey with Washington on social media, including the number change from 11 to three, which caught the attention of many athletes. Two that stood out were CJ McCollumwho was sent to the Atlanta Hawks along with Corey Kispert in a trade and also the Atlanta Falcons running back Sesame Robinsonthey both have “support comments.”

“CJ McCollum, Gilbert Arenas and Bian Robinson shared comments of support for Tree Young on Instagram yesterday,” wrote Sleeper Wizards on X.

“Take care of that nunber my brother,” McCollum wrote in response to Young’s comments on Instagram.

Young would be introduced to the media and the team on Friday, but mentioning the ways in which it can influence The Wizards, as productive a veteran as he was, made the same impact on the team as a young player with Atlanta.

“Just to be able to influence my teammates,” Young said. “I feel like I did a good job as a young player in Atlanta, so I was able to be a vet with these young guys here.

There’s no denying that Young was happy to be sent to Washington, explaining what it was like to put on the jersey and also explaining the change in number.

“It was surreal, it was different, it was special,” Young said. “(No. 3) was my number my freshman year of high school, so I gave it back.”

It remains to be seen when Young will make his debut for the Wizards.
