Trae Young issues a bond for fans after wild ejection

The Washington WizardsMonday’s 123-118 loss to the Houston Rockets was already destined for the history books, but not for anything that happened over the course of four quarters. Instead, it was about Trae Young, who managed to get kicked out since his team debut without playing a single second, becoming the first person to do so.
The former All-Star, acquired by Washington in an emergency midseason trade, was expected to finally take the floor after recovering from long-term knee and quad injuries. However, Yang’s zeal got the better of him.
When a fight broke out between Washington’s Jameer Watkins and Houston’s Terry Eason early in the game, Young instinctively jumped off the bench to support his teammates. Official Tony Brothers followed the letter of the law, throwing Yang to enter the court during an argument.
His last static line of the night? Zero minutes, zero points and one very confusing ejection.
While the internet spent the night roasting the “wizard legend” for his untimely passing, Young took to social media clear the air and issue a bold promise to the DC faithful.
“Don’t expect me to get kicked out many more times DC… but I’m definitely bringing that energy and competitiveness when I come back for my brothers!” Yang posted on X.
On the court, the shorthanded Wizards struggled to find a rhythm without their new general on the floor. Bilal Coulibaly led the way with 23 points, while Sharif Cooper added 21 points and two rebounds. However, they had no answer for Houston’s Alperen Sengun, who dominated with 32 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Rockets to victory.
Young is now ready to make his debut on the court Thursday night against the Utah Jazz. If his “energy” guarantee holds up, Wizards fans are in for a show, provided he stays behind the sideline until he checks into the game.
