Tre Jones shows no fear of Victor Wembanyama’s charge

When is it Chicago Bulls acquired The Three Joneses in trade from San Antonio Spursit was for a specific reason. The guy can do anything and without any intimidation.
On Monday, that was on full display during the Bulls’ game against his former team, when he found himself against him Victor Vembanyama. With 3:50 left in the second quarter, Jones stood firm and took control when Wemby came at him.
A foul was called on Wembiah when the Bulls led 51-50.

Jones never let the height difference deter him. Before the start of the season, the Bulls signed Jones to a a three-year, $24 million contract. So far, Jones is averaging 12.3 points, 5.3 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game. The Bulls are off to one of their best starts in recent memory at 6-3, and Jones has played a big part in that.
With Coby White due to a lower leg injuryhe put guys like Jones in position to start. Overall, Jones found himself in the starting rotation through the first nine games of the year. During those games, Jones is averaging 29.4 minutes per game.
With notable players, Jones fit into that mix of flexibility.
Tre Jones filled the temporary void he left behind Josh Giddei.
Before Monday’s game, the Bulls listed Josh Giddy as a suspect due to an ankle injury. After all, he was completely out of the gameforcing others to pick up the slack.
Given Giddy’s status as a playmaker, that put Jones in prime position to fill that role. After a slow start to the first quarter, the Bulls came alive in the second quarter, the same quarter in which the Wembley offense pulled away. In all, Jones scored 12 points, while Wemby had 15 points.
Still, Jones gave Wembey a moment he will certainly not forget.
