Tyrese Haliburton gets brutally honest about the Clippers ruining their reputation with the Chris Paul drama

Since coming on stage, Tyrese Halliburton of the Indiana Pacers has been compared to Chris Paul. Both can control the pace, involve others and rise to the occasion.

Now that it is Los Angeles Clippers released Chris Paul after a bitter breakupIt’s Halliburton weighing in a rugaccording to The Numbers on the Board podcast.

During the show, co-host Kenny Beacham said he spoke with Halliburton about whether the All-Stars care about an organization “misleading their players,” and Halliburton was as honest as can be.

“A lot of players just want to get paid,” Halliburton said.

Currently, Halliburton is out of season after suffered an ACL injury during the NBA Finals. Before being released, Paul averaged 2.9 points and 3.3 assists per game while playing off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Clippers and Pacers have the same 6-18 record. The Clippers are dealing with a series of injuries and off-court issues, while the Pacers are missing Haliburton.

This comes after Paul announced that it will be his last NBA season. However, Paul is supposedly questioning that they let him go after the Clippers. Meanwhile, Halliburton’s remarks shed light on what has become increasingly common among many NBA players.

It’s more about the money than the game

Deion Sanders, in his young attempt at rapping, released a “hit” called “Must be the Money” in the early 1990s. That can easily describe the mindset of many players in the NBA today.

Money became their top priority, ahead of team conflicts and loyalty. Now, in the case of Chris Paul, he has done his part in his career. So he can go out on his own terms and feel secure in himself.

However, the best seems to be focused on getting big bucks rather than winning championships.
