Tyrese Haliburton’s fiancee Jade is candid about his “struggle” in rehab

It was not an easy ride for Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Halliburton, whose fiancee, Jade Jones, discovered his “struggle” in the middle rehabilitating his torn Achilles injury.

Speaking to The Athletic, Jones spoke about Halliburton’s road to rehabilitation from his Achilles injury. Thankfully, the Pacers star is on the mend, like he passed the “hardest” part of the trip.

“The first few months when he literally couldn’t walk was the hardest,” Jones said. “Tyreese never quits. He’s never had an injury like this in his career, so it was an adjustment for him to be able to play basketball. It was something we’ve never had to overcome before.”

“It was a struggle,” she added.

Luckily for Halliburton, he had a strong support system around him during the recovery process. While Jones admitted there are “tough days”, Halliburton remains “so easy to support”.

“Tyrese is so easy to support because he’s just a happy human being,” Halliburton’s fiancee revealed. “There are tough days and I just feel like we try to focus on what we can control in the situation and what we can look forward to. …He was so excited to come home and tell me he shot a free throw. We can’t control his injury, but we take it as it is.

“We celebrate his victories,” Jones continued.

Halliburton was injured in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. It happened in the first quarter, knocking him out of the equation in a crucial game.

The Pacers would still lose the game. They also lost Haliburton for the entire 2025-26 NBA season due to his injury. So, he still has a long way to go before returning to court.
