UConn’s takedown of the Wildcats had fans buzzing

The No. 4 Arizona basketball continues its hot start through the 2025-26 season, as the Wildcats remained undefeated after knocking off the No. 3 UConn Huskies at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs on Wednesday night.
It was another huge win for Tommy Lloyd’s side who improved to 5-0 on aggregate. Three of their five victims so far are ranked opponents.
Besides the Huskies, the Wildcats’ other 25 wins this season have come at the expense of the then third-place and reigning national champion Florida Gators and then-No. 15 UCLA Bruins.
However, both wins against the Gators and Bruins came at neutral sites, so Arizona’s success in Storrs was its first win against a Top 25 opponent in a true road game. That should further bolster the resume the Wildcats are building this season.
The latest victory of the Arizona basketball team also caused a lot of reactions from people online.
“Arizona has wins over the defending national champions, a Top 15 team UCLA and now UConn in Storrs – and they’re all away from the McCale Center. What a start for the Wildcats.” he said social media user on X, formerly Twitter.
“I can’t believe Arizona was able to beat UConn at home in a raucous environment. In college basketball, where big wins are more important than “quality losses” (looking at you, CFB…) Arizona has already put together one hell of a 5 game stretch,” another he said.
Off it different comment: “Arizona beat #3 Florida, #15 UCLA, and now #3 UConn on the road. Best team in the country. With the best PG in the country. Hang in there 🧸🔻”
From another poster: “The Big 12 IS THE BEST BASKETBALL CONFERENCE IN THE COUNTRY”
Arizona is dangerous this season. he answered another social media user.
Although Dan Hurley’s UConn was a key player with starting center Tarris Reed Jr. who sat out the Arizona game with an ankle injury, that shouldn’t take much away from the Wildcats’ victory.
Jaden Bradley led Arizona with 21 points, while Koa Peet had 16 points and 12 boards for Arizona, who next play the Denver Pioneers at home on Nov. 24.
