Udoka’s name is killing the Clippers as he trashed his team after an embarrassing loss

On Tuesday evening, Houston Rockets suffered a second consecutive cryptic defeat with an away defeat from the Los Angeles Clippers. Just two days after the game went down against the lowly Sacramento KingsThe Rockets were unable to come back against the Clippers 8-21, and ended up falling by a final score of 128-108.

After the game, the head coach of the Rockets Making Udoka he allegedly put his team on blast and captured indirect blow in Los Angeles in the process.

“Ime Udoka pointed to the discipline of his team’s game plan as an issue tonight, specifically how they guarded Kawhi and Harden. He also said his team didn’t play hard enough. He noted that the Clippers aren’t known for playing with a lot of effort, but they won the battle tonight on effort and energy,” former Athletics Will Guillory reported on Twitter.

Overall, the Rockets still had a mostly successful start to the year at 17-10, but given where they were after the first few weeks of the season, and given that they’ve had the mildest schedule in the NBA so far this year from a durability perspective, that mark has to feel like a bit of a disappointment for both Udoka and the players.

There hasn’t necessarily been one specific problem to pinpoint for the Rockets so far this year, but the team’s lack of a true point guard is something fans continue to highlight as a potential problem for the team moving forward. Interestingly, some have brought up the Clippers and former Rockets guard James Harden as a potential trade partner to help alleviate this problem.

Either way, the Rockets will take the floor next on Christmas night against the Los Angeles Lakers. That match is scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM ET from the Cripto.com Arena.
