Vanessa and Natalia Bryant share a laugh in the opener against the Warriors

The first night’s match between Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors they attended Vanessa and Natalia Bryantwife and daughter of of the late Kobe Bryant.

They were shown on the Jumbotron in the Cripto.com Arena and got a lot of laughs when they were shown. Dave McMenamin pointed out that Natalia is the creative director behind a video celebrating Lakers fandom from earlier in the month.

Despite the positivity, the Lakers were unable to beat the Warriors on opening night. They lost by 10 points to the Stephen Curry-led Warriors.

The best scorer of the Lakers was Luka Doncic. LeBron James missed the game due to injury. Austin Reaves also stepped up with 26 points.

Jimmy Butler led the Warriors with 31 points. Stephen Curry had 23 points, including nine 3-pointers. Jonathan Kuminga also scored 17.

Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash in January 2020. Vanessa then filed a lawsuit against Los Angeles County, which was settled three years later in 2023.

It was nice to see them treated to Cripto.com Arena, home of the Lakers, when the Warriors visited. The teams will face each other three more times, one more game in Los Angeles and then two in San Francisco.
