Victor Wembanyama drops a stat line against the Bulls that has not been seen before in the NBA

Is there any of that San Antonio Spurs star Victor Vembanyama can not do? If someone dared him to wrestle an anaconda in a raging river, he could probably do it.

Vembanjama led Spurs to their third consecutive victory after beating the Chicago Bulls121-117, on Monday at the United Center. With the win, San Antonio moved into sole possession of second place in the Western Conference with an 8-2 record.

Vembanyama had another monster effort with 38 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and five blocks. He also buried a season-high six three-pointers.

According to Spurs, the 21-year-old center made NBA history becoming the first player to record over 35 points, over five threes, over 10 rebounds, over five assists and over five blocks in a game.

If anyone is still on the fence about whether the NBA has changed drastically, just watch Vembanyama in action.

Remember the debate surrounding Wembanyama and Portland Trail Blazers guard Scott Henderson before the 2023 draft? Yeah, they sound totally ridiculous now.

But they are still not as funny as Vembanyama was great in his third season. He became more aggressive on offense, taking advantage of his 7-foot-4 frame instead of settling for outside jumpers.

As for his defense? Well, what more could you ask for? He leads the NBA in blocks with 3.8 per game. Not to mention the countless shots he changed whenever he patrolled the paint.

Against the Bulls, Vembanjama too moved up on the all-time list after blocking Matas Bouzelis in the first quarter.

Don’t be surprised if Vembanyama volunteers to wash his teammates’ jerseys.
