Victor Wembanyama is tossing and turning like a child to stay up late during the All-Star break

Wednesday night, San Antonio Spurs they continued their winning streak with a comfortable road win over the Golden State Warriors thanks to the late rise. Doc Victor Vembanyama he didn’t have the dominant performance he had the night before against the Los Angeles Lakershe still poured in an efficient 26 points in the win.

Now Wembanyama will stay in California for the upcoming All-Star game, and he recently revealed what he is most excited about in connection with the festivities.

“I’m going to sleep an hour later,” Wembanyama said in ESPN’s postgame interview following the Warriors game, per MrBuckBuck on X, formerly Twitter.

Vembanjama has indeed made it known that he prefers to stick to going to bed early and reading at night, so the All-Star weekend festivities in Los Angeles will provide a break from that routine.

Meanwhile, Wembanyama has certainly earned his spot in the big game with his play this year, establishing himself as a consensus top five player in the NBA, and by far the best defender in the league.

His offense isn’t too shabby either, as Wembanyama needed just five minutes to put 17 points on the board in Tuesday’s win over the Los Angeles Lakers’ reserves. Vembanjama would end up finishing that game with 40 points, he wouldn’t have to do much in the second half due to the nature of the game.

Overall, the Spurs have had a great season so far in the 2025-26 season, currently sitting in second place in the Western Conference and have already beaten the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder on four separate occasions this season.

Wembanjama will almost certainly get their first taste of the play-offs this season, and it will be interesting to see how this young Spurs team adapts to the changes in play that occur at that time of year.

Before that, however, Vembanyama will showcase his talents during the All-Star game on Sunday.
