Victor Wembanyama leaves the Knicks game with an apparent injury

Victor Vembanyama appeared to suffer a lower-body injury in the fourth quarter Wednesday night’s game at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio in between San Antonio Spurs and the New York Knicks.
A replay of the video showed Vembanyama injured after trying to make a save.
Vembanjama immediately fell to the floor in pain. He later managed to get to his feet before limping off the court and into the Spurs locker room as San Antonio fans worried about the exact extent of his injury.
In another clip, Wembanyama appeared to reassure fans about his injury, telling Spurs fans he was fine as he entered the tunnel.

Even more good news for the Spurs and their fans was the sight of Vembanyama returning to the bench — a very welcome sight for San Antonio, which already missed his services a few games earlier in the 2025-26 NBA season with a calf injury.

Vembanyama had an excellent individual performance before leaving the contest, as he scored 31 points on an efficient 10-for-12 shooting from the field with two 3-pointers, 13 rebounds and an assist in just 24 minutes of action.
San Antonio is over beating the Knicks according to the score 134-132. It’s certainly an ideal way to say goodbye to 2025 for Spurs, but it’s probably made easier by the apparently OK status of Wembanyama.
The Spurs, who improved to 24-9, will return to action on Friday against the reigning Eastern Conference champion Indiana Pacers on the road at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
