Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle hit on the wrong history
Victor Vembanyama made NBA history against the Chicago Bulls just two nights ago. But San Antonio Spurs star and Stephon Castle landed on the wrong end of a turning point against the Golden State Warriors.
The duo and the five best awarded NBA draft picks played spectacularly – “Wemby” scored 31 points, took 15 rebounds and registered 10 assists, while Castle scored 23-10-10. But in a 125-120 loss to the Warriors, both scored their first goal in the league.
Wemby and Stephon Castle had triple-doubles in the Spurs’ loss to the Warriors.
It’s the first time in NBA history that a team has two players with a triple-double of 20 points and lose a game 😳

Any team that sees two triple-doubles on their side often wins the game. However, Golden State’s experience and shooting depth proved to be an advantage over the young Spurs.
Both Vembanyama and Castle were two of six different San Antonio players to score in double figures.
Victor Wembanyama receives praise after the game between Spurs and Warriors

Multiple NBA champion Steph Curry outplayed the Spurs tonight. At the Frost Bank Center, he fell by 46 points. However, Curry couldn’t help but be impressed by the 21-year-old’s game.
“He challenges you in a way that makes no sense,” Curry said after the game. who admitted to trying rainbow shots over the 7-foot-4 talent. “He’s going to be in this league for a long time doing that.”
Vembanjame didn’t just impress as a scorer and presence on the glass. The Spurs’ third-year performer pulled off an impossible layup on Draymond Green. “Wemby” with his 8″0 wingspan caught Green’s shot attempt.

That’s now 96 games in a row with “Wembey” having a shot blocked. He is now four blocks away from joining Dikembe Mutombo and Patrick Ewing as the only NBA players to reach 100 consecutive games with a shutout. His game left many impressed, including former NBA guard Rashad McCants who praised the Spurs star with ClutchPoints.
But he, Castle and San Antonio fell to 8-3 overall and made the wrong kind of league history.
