VJ Edgecombe on why he was ready for the game-winner in OT

Rookie VJ Edgecombe hit a 3-pointer with 1.7 seconds left in overtime to lift it Philadelphia 76ers to a 139-136 victory against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night in Memphis. Edgecombe scored 25 points and sparked a comeback with a late 3-pointer in regulation that forced overtime. Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid each finished with 34 points as Philadelphia came out strong. Ja Morant led Memphis with 40 points, but Edgecombe finished calmly in extra time sealed the Sixers’ dramatic road win.

Keith Pompei of the Philadelphia Inquirer took to his X (formerly known as Twitter), sharing a message from the rookie quarterback after his game-winning shot.
