Warriors, Bucks, Suns among trade suitors for Hornets’ Miles Bridges

With rumors surrounding Charlotte Hornets star Miles Bridges before the February 5 trade deadline, the latest report listed teams linked to the forward. As fans come up with potential trades that the Hornets could pass the deadline, Bridges’ name has been talked about a lot.

In the latest from The Athletic’s Sam Amick, he talks about Charlotte and where things stand with star LaMelo Ball and the possibility of him settling down, even though it doesn’t seem likely. As for Bridges, on the other hand, the player is “attracts significant interest,” with the three mentioned teams Milwaukee Bucksthe Golden State Warriorsand the Phoenix Suns.

“As for the Hornets potentially on the move, veteran forward Miles Bridges is generating significant interest, league sources told The Athletic,” Amick wrote Friday. “The Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns are known to be among the interested parties, though it remains to be seen if either team can get the Hornets to give up Bridges. Charlotte’s lack of interest in the Bucks’ Kyle Kuzma is known to be an obstacle to a potential deal between the two teams.”

As for the return, as Amick mentioned, one league source he cited said the team could want several first-round picks.

“They want the first pick in the round,” Amick’s source said. “Maybe two.”

While it is The Hornets will still be involved in the rumoursBridges appears to be the only player who could get a start, as the 27-year-old is averaging 18.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 44.3 percent from the field. The only team that was known to be interested at Bridges were the Bucks, as the franchise looks for continued ways to build around and keep Giannis Antetokounmpo.

“Speaking of Bridges, the Hornets forward — who absolutely shouldn’t be in the NBA and has a -2.5 net rating on the floor and a -8.5 on/off split — has drawn interest from Milwaukee as they continue to try to look for an upgrade to magically unlock some version of the team that prevents the NBA’s Giannis from leaving, Jans wrote on the 13th.

Either way, it remains to be seen if and when Bridges will be moved away from the Hornets.
