Watch Ja Morant make a difficult first comeback in Memphis

Ja Morant is finally back in court for the first time since Memphis Grizzlies‘ Lost 108-100 to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Nov. 15. After coming back from a calf injury, the star point guard made an immediate impression on his team after scoring a tough score for his first match back.

Morant, who is 26, grabbed the rebound and took it down the court. After splitting the defense, Ja Morant went into the paint, where he made a great and one result. The basket was the first point scored in Friday’s contest between the Utah Jazz and the Grizzlies.

Morant missed 10 games before finally returning to the field. In that time, the Grizzlies have gone 7-3 and are right back in the mix in the Western Conference. Getting the 2020 Rookie of the Year back in the rotation could be just what Memphis needs to continue its climb up the Western Conference ranks.

however, I Morant was heavily involved in trade rumors all season long. However, it’s unclear what his market really looks like, as there are some concerns when it comes to Morant. His averages are certainly down, and of course, there are red flags off the field.

Heading into Friday’s game against the Jazz, Morant is averaging 17.9 points (second-low of his career), 3.5 rebounds (career-low) and 7.6 assists per game while shooting 35.9% from the field (career-worst) and 16.7% from the three-point line.

He’s aiming to turn things around now that he’s healthy. A strong performance against the Jazz would be a good start. But only time will tell if he can return to All-Star status, which he hasn’t been named to since the 2022-23 campaign.
