Watch Ja Morant’s heated argument in training in Berlin with a teammate
The The Memphis Grizzlies have been in trade talk in full swing last week after ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania reported the team was open to trade point guard Ja Morant. The reports come in the midst of the worst year of Morant’s career thus far, with his efficiency numbers and overall production taking a serious dip.
The Grizzlies are currently in Berlin for Thursday’s game against the Orlando Magic, and earlier this week Morant was caught on camera in a heated altercation with teammate Vince Williams Jr. in a team shootout.

The video won’t do much to ease the reported tensions between Morant and the Grizzlies so far this year. Just a few weeks into the season, Morant was suspended for one game by the team for blasting the coaching staff after a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Meanwhile, many pundits are skeptical of what the Grizzlies could get in a return package for Morant via trade, given that the Atlanta Hawks were only able to get CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert in their recent trade for point guard Trea Young.
Either way, it remains to be seen how the Morant saga will play out in Memphis, but an end appears to be in sight.
The Grizzlies and Magic are scheduled to square off on Thursday at the unusual start time of 2:00 PM ET from Berlin, Germany.
