Watch Nikola Jokic finally try a Taco Bell Quesarito

Many legends have great origin stories that highlight the vast land they covered in their long and exhausting a journey to greatness. Nikola Jokic is no exception, but its humble beginnings come with a unique and spicy twist. The Denver Nuggets the Serbian center was selected 41st overall in the 2014 NBA draft, and the selection was first announced during a Taco Bell commercial featuring the new Quesarito.

Players who come off the board during commercial often become an afterthought, as is often the case with second-rounders. The face of the Nuggets is is recovering from a strained kneean injury that was initially feared to be more serious. Denver has done a great job in his absence, going 6-3 since Jokic has been out. The biggest knock on this team is how it handles without its best player, but the hiring of Jamal Murray, an active offseason and an emerging Peyton Watson have paid huge dividends this season.

Now, Denver could be one of the deepest teams in the league. Although, her ceiling will of course be tied to Jokić’s productivity. He is the offensive engine of the Nuggets and is currently using Taco Bell as a fuel source. An endorsement deal may be on the horizon.
