What Brett Siegel is hearing about Milwaukee’s trade plans

Chat about Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo be delivered before the trade deadline continues to creep up, especially amid the team’s dismal campaign.
The Bucks were booed by the home fans on Wednesday when they were blown out by the Minnesota Timberwolves, 139-106, at Fiserv Forum. Antetokounmpo merely shrugged off the backlash, saying he remains focused on his job.
The Bucks must be panicking right now. Even if they don’t move Antetokounmpothey badly need a roster upgrade to save their troubled season.
Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints said the trading package that it contains Bobby Portis, Kyle Kuzmaand the Bucks’ first-round pick in 2031 could be “tempting” for other teams.
“That 2031 pick is going to be a long way from Giannis’ time with Milwaukee. He’s not going to be there then, and you don’t know what the Bucks organization is going to look like,” Siegel said on “Clutch Scoops.”
“It might not be the worst package if you throw in that 2031 pick.”

Siegel emphasized that multiple teams are interested in Portis.
He added, however, that it’s hard to say what the Bucks might do to acquire more talent, noting that Sacramento Kings guard Zach LaVine, Portland Trail Blazers forward Jeremy Grant and Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. are viable targets.
“It looks like those are the three big names they’ve been linked to. But what other upgrades are there in this trade market? There’s just no answer because I don’t think they can deal for Anthony Davis. They don’t have what the Mavericks want. The same can be said for Ja Morant,” Siegel added.
The Bucks are 17-23 entering Thursday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs.
