What Brett Siegel is hearing about Zion Williamson’s trade interest

The New Orleans Pelicans they currently have the worst record in the NBA, and without their first-round pick, it’s hard for them to try to sell before the trade deadline. At the same time, they could get some picks in exchange for some of the players on their team, of which he is the main one Zion Williamson. Over the past week or so, The Chicago Bulls were rumored to have interest in it.

Although the Bulls are interested in moving some of their own players to get the deal done, the Pelicans don’t look interested in trading Williamson at this point, according to Brett Siegel of Clutch Points.

“League sources have since confirmed to ClutchPoints these conversations and the Bulls’ interest in the former No. 1 overall pick,” Siegel wrote. “The Bulls are signaling they will make significant roster changes before this year’s deadline, using the expiring contracts of Nikola Vucevic, Kevin Huerter, Zach Collins and wanted guard Kobe White in trade talks. Still, the Pelicans have remained steadfast in their stance to keep Zion…for now.”

So do the Tauruses, it seems have some interest in Ivo Mission also, according to Siegel, and NBA insider Jake Fisher recently shared it he arouses interest around the league.

“Along with our report last week that Indiana called up Missy — as part of the Pacers’ ongoing search for frontline reinforcements — I’ve been informed that the Chicago Bulls are a team that covets Missy,” Fisher wrote.

For now, it’s hard to tell if the Pelicans are just holding off on these trades because they don’t want to give up their players or if they didn’t get the contracts they were looking for. Time will tell, but as the deadline approaches, it will be interesting to see if teams become more aggressive.
