What Jaylen Johnson attributes to the recent attacks

The Atlanta Hawks they were on the road to the west coast this week and are on a four game winning streak after beating the utah jazz. One of the reasons for their recent success is the game on Jalen Johnsonwhich had to be included the absence of Tree Young.

Johnson was the person who controlled the Hawks offense at times, setting up his teammates to look easy and getting theirs when needed. When the Hawks are on the fast break and Johnson has the ball, it will be an easy two points. In their game against the Jazz, Johnson had a historic stat, finishing with 31 points, 18 rebounds, 14 assists and seven steals.

The day after the game, Johnson spoke with ESPN’s Malika Andrews about what happened the cause of his offensive surge.

“I think the main thing is to do whatever it takes to win,” Johnson said. “Whatever the game asks me to do, I take pride in it. Whether it’s passing, scoring, defending, whatever it looks like. It might look different every night, but the main thing is I just want to help my team win.”

Before Johnson was injured last seasonhe had the same kind of impact on the Hawks, who were a top-six team in the Eastern Conference. With him returning this season and picking up where he left off, he could be even more dangerous than he was last season.

The Hawks got off to a slow start to the season this year, but have picked things up and are 8-5.

“We take the film session very seriously, and more importantly, we translate those film sessions into our next game and execute our game plans to the best of our ability,” Johnson said. “I think that’s a big thing for us, and we just have to keep building on each win and focus on one game at a time.”

If Johnson and the Hawks can continue to play at a high level, there’s no telling what they could be before Young returns. It could also raise Johnson’s stock as a potential All-Star this season.
