What Tennessee wants in its next coach to avoid Cam Ward’s arrest

The The Tennessee Titans have opened their coaching search with a Colts assistant. They too i plan to watch raheem morris. And here’s what the titans want in his next coach to make sure Cam Ward it doesn’t fail, according to Jim Wyatt’s post on X.

“@Titans GM Mike Borgonzi: Cam Ward went through a lot of adversity during his rookie season. We’re looking for a coach, a staff, that can help him develop… He wants a coach that can play to his strengths, help him and other players develop.”

Ward threw for 3,169 yards in his rookie season, totaling 15 touchdown passes and seven interceptions. The Titans managed just a 3-14 record, and Ward started all 17 games.

Ward seems to have done some things to help himself although trouble according to the post on X by Turron Davenport.

He fought through it and got better, Borgonzi said. “The coach that we’re looking for … is to help him develop more. And really find a coach that can really highlight some of the player’s strengths. You’re always looking for that. We’re looking for someone who can really look at Cam, and (let’s say) that’s what he does well.”

Borgonzi also said the Titans want a leader, no just a tough guyaccording to a post on X by Ben Autur.

“GM Mike Borgonzi says the Titans will be looking for a leader in their next HC, not necessarily an ‘alpha’ personality. It’s someone who is demanding and holds the team accountable; it doesn’t necessarily matter if they’re loud or quiet in how they do it.”

However, Ward won’t be heavily involved in the coaching search, according to a post on X by Terry McCormick.

“Borgonzi on Cam Ward’s involvement in the coaching search: I have a lot of conversations with Cam, and sometimes he says too much. But I love Cam, he’s in the game all day. He said it might be a quick hello for him when the final candidates come in.”

Whoever takes over will have more than Ward to improve on. The Titans are considered to have one of the least talented rosters in the NFL.
