Where is LeBron James physically?
It’s been almost a month since we found out LeBron James package for the start of the season. ESPN brings today some news from the “King”, while the Lakers are handling his absence perfectly with a very good record of 7 wins and 2 losses. Stricken with sciatica – pain originating in the lower back that radiates down the leg – which he has suffered for almost four months, the winger continues to follow a progressive recovery protocol.
For now, he is only in the phase of individual training. The next step will be to participate in five-on-five group sessions. But with a week’s worth of East travel ahead of the Lakers, his return shouldn’t happen for at least five games. In the most optimistic scenario, he could appear again on November 18 at home against the Jazz.
The schedule would then remain respected for its continuation. Until then, LeBron James could even work out with the Lakers’ G-League franchise, just to find some rhythm before (finally) kicking off his 23rd NBA season.
“Hopefully he’ll be back around the second or third week of November.” recently confided in his coach, JJ Reddick. The “Purple & Gold” technician would like to be able to count on his four-time MVP as soon as possible, 100% physically, to relieve Luka Doncic and Austin Reeves in the offensive sector.
