Why did LA cancel practice before the upcoming Grizzlies game
Los Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue canceled practice on Saturday, opting to do team film study before facing the Memphis Grizzlies. As it is The Clippers continue to go from Chris Paulwho is still waiting to see the next step in his career this season, Lue says player availability played a role in his decision to cancel practice.
Without enough healthy players, coach Lue says the Clippers ended up having a team practice in preparation for facing the Grizzlies, canceled on Saturdayaccording to Clippers reporter Joey Lin.
“(Nicolas Batum) had to go home sick. We had a couple of guys that couldn’t practice today. So I thought our film session was really good. I thought our guys understood what we were looking for. What we were talking about. Then we can go live tomorrow, hopefully get some bodies back.”
When a reporter asked Tyronn Lue which Clippers players couldn’t attend, he didn’t want to reveal any names.
“We just had a film session with guys that were healthy, that were able to do individual things and do what they needed to do. Then tomorrow, hopefully, we’ll have the whole group that can practice,” Lue added, but declined to reveal which players were inactive. “I can’t say anything. I don’t think I can say that.”
The Clippers canceled practice today and were just shooting.
Ty Lue said the decision was because certain players couldn’t practice, but wouldn’t say who.

Steve Ballmer reports ‘crazy addiction’ to Clippers players

Clippers owner Steve Ballmer has been accused of favoring Kawhi Leonardwhich slows down the team’s overall growth, says Sam Amick of the Athletics. Ballmer devotion Leonard has an impact on the future of the Clippers, Amick said, according to FanDuel Sports’ Run It Back
“I don’t see it because, Steve Ballmer, man, he just got this, inexplicable, in my opinion, borderline crazy addiction to this group. If that makes sense,” Amick said. “I don’t understand it because when you talk about Kawhi, and regardless of the truth about that scandal. The level of scrutiny and distraction that comes from that partnership with Kawhi has been so problematic.
“But Steve has never wavered in his loyalty to Kawhi and continues to move down that path,” Amick concluded.
The Clippers will look to get back in the win column when they host the Grizzlies on Sunday.
