Why Josh Giddy remains ‘confident’ despite Chicago’s recent struggles

With The Chicago Bulls lost to the lowly Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night, 113-103, was a microcosm of how the season went for the team, with a 9-12 record. Until it will be rumors surrounding the Bulls all season surround their potential aspiration to make the team better, Josh Giddei would express his confidence that he will bounce back in a big way.

Chicago started the season strong at 5-0, but the team has since gone 4-12, despite Giddy having a productive start to the year, averaging 21 points, 10 rebounds and 9.2 assists per game while shooting 48.6 percent from the field. Also shooting 39.1 percent from deep, Giddy would see the light at the end of the tunnel for how the team held together through hard times, according to KC Johnson.

“I feel even better than when we were winning,” Giddy said. “It’s easy for guys to get separated here. But credit to our group and the coaches who kept us together. The last 2 weeks haven’t been what we wanted. But we’re all still confident.”

Another Bulls player who echoed the same feeling is the presence of a veteran in the team at center Nikola Vucevic, saying that many were boughtvia The Athletic.

“The boys believe in what the coaching staff asks of us and the system they want us to play,” Vucevic said when asked if the team was invested in a slow start. “When we did it well, maybe we didn’t always win the game, but we played better. For whatever reason, we just haven’t been at our best lately.”

Either way, Chicago looks to end its five-game losing streak with Friday’s game against the Indiana Pacers.
