On ClutchPoint’s “Clutch Scoops” with insiders Brett Siegel and Tomer Azarly, the topic of Antetokounmpo came up, as the former explained how the team that makes the most sense chasing the star is miami. He would mention how the team president Pat Riley has been holding funds in case the superstar is available, and Antetokounmpo fits the bill.

“I think the one team that makes the most sense is the Miami Heat,” Seigel said. “We’ve seen Pat Riley hold assets over the years. They didn’t offer everything they could for Kevin Durant. They were quiet when other stars became available. And obviously there were conversations with Damian Lillard, would he be an option for them? Would they give everything for him? They kind of held back and waited for that big star to be available in the next three weeks? Well, Gian could be available in the next three weeks? Antetokounmpo.”

The Heat have been linked to a trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo, if he asks Milwaukee

“If he does ask for a trade, I would definitely keep an eye on South Beach,” Siegel said. “I think it would be in that range of 1A teams that could potentially go after him, but there’s going to be significant interest in him around the league. It’s already gone to the point where teams are lining up and contacting the Bucks. We’re just waiting to hear back from Giannis and his team on whether or not he wants to play this season and if things will work out in the summer in Milwaukee,” he said.

Seigel firmly believes in Chances of making a package that would “beat out what a lot of teams around the league have to offer,” such as Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Yaquez Jr., and several first-round picks.

Either way, Miami is 14-11, and will look to get back into the win column Monday night when the team takes on the Toronto Raptors.
