Jakob Poelt’s playing status against the Pistons

Given his question mark on injury reportthere is currently some doubt as to whether jakob poeltl will be able to return from his injury on wednesday against the pistons. Poeltl was out for Toronto for about two months with a nagging back injury, and there was some speculation that he could return earlier this week against the Indiana Pacers, before ultimately being ruled out of that contest.
The Raptors have no other key players on their injury report for this game, while Ron Holland II will miss this game for Detroit due to personal reasons.
Many thought the Raptors might try to trade the big man at the recent NBA trade deadline, with some pointing to Poeltl’s continued injuries as a reason why the team should make a move. Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis was a potential target, but the Raptors ended up sleeping, and they will be hoping that Poeltl can actually return to his old form when he returns to the floor.
The Raptors have been largely successful this season, currently sitting at 32-22 heading into the All-Star break, and with a realistic chance to secure home-court advantage for the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Either way, they’ll be hitting it off against the Pistons at 7:30pm ET.
