Without Anthony Edwards or Rudy Gobert, the Wolves humiliate the Bucks in Milwaukee!
If it is Bucks perhaps he hoped to be able to take advantage of the absencesAnthony Edwardsspared, i Rudy Gobertsuspended, it’s a failure. And in very large widths. The Wolves walked Milwaukee on Tuesday, winning 106-139 in a one-sided matchup. This correction was not to the taste of the public here, and the annoyance he showed Giannis Antetokounmpo during the meeting, people run the risk of talking.
It didn’t take long for things to go south for the Bucks. Without Miles Turnersick and absent for the first time this season, Doc Rivers’ side fails to establish an attack in the opening minutes. Milwaukee starts the match with 1/5 shooting and two turnovers.
Minnesota has a clear plan on their end: find open shots and run. It’s not always very effective, but it only takes two shots in a row from a distance. Julius Randle etc Jaden McDaniels and defense in place, as Naz Reid which prevents dunk from Kevin Porter Jrto distance himself (8-18, 6′).
+18 after 12 minutes
Chris Finch’s rotations pass the second layer with good entries Bones Hyland and from Joan Beringerresponsible for the absence of Rudy Gobert. But it was McDaniels who made the point with three 3-point shots in the final two minutes of the first quarter while Giannis Antetokounmpo was on the bench. The gap is already growing to +18 (20-38) after 12 minutes!
And the Bucks’ woes are far from over. Their zone defense has no effect and their circle protection is absent. Joan Beringer is worth a jump offensively, and Julius Randle takes care of everything on offense with 16 points on 7/8 shooting in the second quarter alone.
Milwaukee’s answer is too shy between 2/10 to shoot Ryan Rollins and eight turnovers by the Porter Jr. – Antetokounmpo duo. The Greek can’t hide his frustration as the whistles start to fall from the stands, and for good reason, with the Wolves leading 45-76 at halftime.
Antetokounmpo is raging
Quite annoyed, “The Greek Freak” seethes and in turn lets out a thumbs-down “boo” to the crowd as soon as he returns to the foul basket. His anger has the merit of shaking his men, who finally show some intensity and skill with an express 10-1 (57-79).

The deficit dipped below 20 points for a while, thanks in particular to 9 points in six minutes from Giannis Antetokounmpo. But his exit once again disrupted the Milwaukee machine, stripped of its engine. Wolves make great use of it with another good pass by the Hyland-Behringer duo. The gap increases again, as Giannis commits his fourth foul at the very end of the third quarter (78-106).
The visitors would need just three more minutes to seal the deal for good, with three-pointers from Donte Di Vincenzo and Bones Hyland. Doc Rivers throws in the towel and returns his starters to the bench with nine minutes to play and a 34-point deficit. This outlay climbs to 41 units, for a complete debacle for Milwaukee and an excellent performance for Minnesota.
WHAT TO REMEMBER
– No Edwards or Gobert? No problem for Wolves. Without their offensive and defensive leaders, the Wolves were able to adjust. The Minnesota team shined, and Julius Randle led the way with 29 points, including 24 in the first period in 30 minutes. Well into their game patterns, Chris Finch’s men quickly gained confidence, which never left them with a magnificent 22/42 on 3-pointers, including a nice 5/7 for Bones Hyland, sharp coming off the bench (23 points, 5 assists in 22 minutes).
– An evening of revelation for Joan Beringer. Rudy Gobert’s suspension left a spot in the Wolves racket, and the French rookie filled it admirably. Limited to a maximum of 9 minutes since his debut, he exploded his career high with 30 minutes on the floor and a convincing game with 13 points, 5 rebounds including 4 offensive, 2 assists and 1 steal. His presence near the circle offered an additional option for Minnesota and shows promise for the future.
– Giannis Antetokounmpo’s gesture of humor. It may just be a knee-jerk reaction to a match that was completely out of his control. But Antetokounmpo’s reaction, especially after the positive action, early in the third quarter makes a lot of sense, while his future in Milwaukee is uncertain. At least the Greek tried to shake up his people and the room, even if it only worked for a while.
