John WallThis Thursday, Wizards organized an evening in honor John Wall, officially retired as of August. A celebration that was especially marked by Trae Young, showing the jersey of the former leader.

“I’ve known John for a long time and it was important for me to show him my affection”, the former Hawks player explained. “He rocked this room, and I hope we can too.” »

On the menu for this evening: “bobbleheads” with the image of the former capital city idol distributed to the fans, then, at halftime of the match against the Bucks, a tribute video was broadcast on the screens in the room. John Wall then spoke for a few moments, thanking the organization and the Washington public.

“First, thanks for coming, especially with the blizzard outside.”, he smiled. “Thank you to the Leonsis family and the Wizards organization for making it possible for me to achieve my dream and play in the NBA. I never thought it would be possible. I love you all. This is my city and it will always be my home. Thank you, really.”

A successful evening in the capital

After the emotions, it’s time to play. Despite leading by ten points entering the final quarter, Washington had to work hard to claw back Milwaukee. And it was Kyshawn George who changed the end of the match: eight points in the match, then the decisive pass to Alexander Sarr, giving his team two air possessions.

“We want to put him in as many situations as possible, because that’s what awaits him throughout his career.”, detailed by Brian Keefe about Keyont George. “He’s big, he sees above the defense. He’s able to create off the dribble, which becomes valuable at the end of the match, and he also knows how to make others play.”

To definitively conclude the match, the Swiss scored the last counter of Ryan Rollins.

Bilal Coulibaly then grabbed the rebound, before AJ Green sent Bilal Coulibaly over the line. The Frenchman did not tremble and confirmed the victory of 109–99, synonymous with Washington’s second consecutive success.
