Yegor Demin sets insane rookie record during win over Jazz
Egor Demin had the best performance of his young NBA career on Friday. Novak had 25 points, 10 rebounds and four assists on 8-of-16 shooting as he led Brooklyn Nets to a 109-99 victory over the Utah Jazz. He made six 3-pointers during the win, the first of which made history.
Friday marked Demin’s 34th straight game with a three-pointer, the longest streak by a rookie in NBA history.
Doc many pegged Demin as one of the top wide receivers in the draft at eight total, he was among the league’s most productive starters this season. His elite three-point shooting has been central to his success.

Demin is second in three-point percentage among 21 rookies with over 70 attempts, trailing only Kon Kneppel (42.9). His second 3-pointer on Friday was the 100th of his career in his 41st game, making him the second fastest player to 100 career 3-pointers in NBA history behind only Kneupel (29 games).
“Obviously, shooting,” Demin said recently of his main improvement this season. “Coming from last season (shooting) 25 percent from three in college to where I am right now, I feel very, very confident in that aspect of the game. That makes me happy. And obviously, a lot of work has gone into my defense. I think I’m improving there. … Obviously, it could take me a while to be more consistent than that, but I think I’ve been more consistent than that this season, which is the most important thing.”
Demin’s three-point shotdecision making (1.97 ast/to) and defense allowed him to make a significant impact as a rookie. The BIU product is the first Net to be selected for the Rising Star competition on All-Star Weekend since 2019.
