Zach Collins will not play again this season

Zach CollinsThe end of the season is (already) marked Zach Collins. THE Bulls have actually published that their interior won’t be playing this year: A victim of a sprained toe on his right foot, the former Blazers and Spurs player underwent further tests and the medical staff determined that surgery was necessary.

Already at the beginning of the month, Billy Donovan opened the door to this scenario. “It could happen. We’ve given him another two weeks of boot and how he comes out of it will dictate what happens next. He’ll need a recovery period to get out… The whole point was to avoid surgery.”the coach explained. In the end, Chicago couldn’t avoid it.

Another tough season for Zach Collins, slowed by his wrist in October. He played only 10 games, averaging 9.7 points and 5.6 rebounds. Bad timing as he will be an unprotected free agent this summer.

Arrived from Detroit during the last trade deadline, Poor Ivey feels pain in his left knee and will be re-evaluated by the club’s medical staff in two weeks. In four games (including three starts), he averaged 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals in 28 minutes, but experienced his first “DNP” in his career in the last game. A sign that Chicago is now thinking “lottery” first?
