Zach Edey still has ankle surgery
Galley of Zach Edey continue. In fact, the Grizzlies announced that their young insides will have to undergo surgery again: his left ankle, very fragile, remains painful and therefore continues to torment him.
The Canadian was on the sidelines for almost three months, due to “stress reaction” which was initially supposed to keep him away from the courts for a month. But in January his unavailability was extended by six weeksthe pain doesn’t go away.
Zack Eddy will therefore have to undergo surgery for the second time in less than a year. He already suffered last summer surgery on the left ankle after a sprain, which caused him to miss five months of competition.
On the side of Memphisobviously we don’t want to take any chances with the 9th pick of the 2024 draft, who showed good things in a dozen games this season (13.6 points, 11.1 rebounds, 1.9 blocks), but who spent most of the time in the infirmary in 2025/26.
Given that the Grizzlies already have nothing to play for, it wouldn’t be surprising if we don’t see him again until the end of the year (even if there hasn’t been an official confirmation yet). He would then imitate Kentavious Caldwell-Popedoc I Morant, You Jerome etc Saint Aldama also accumulate physical problems in Tennessee.
Without forgetting Brandon Clarkewho will be absent until mid-March, due to this right calf strain which has been bothering him since… December.
