Zach LaVine’s defiant mic dropped in Sacramento after dropping 42 against the Heat

On Saturday night, Sacramento Kings improved to 6-17 in the 2025-26 NBA season with a big trip victory over the Miami Heat with a score of 127-111. They led the Kings by 42 points by Zach LaVinewho torched Miami’s defense with a three-point barrage all night long and reminded the world what a deadly shooter he can be when he’s on.
After the game, LaVine basically put it his team in a blast for some of their previous fights despite the big win.
“I can do it any night if they give me the damn ball enough,” LaVine said, according to Ciro Asseo of Hoopshipe on X, formerly Twitter.
This isn’t the first angry quote LaVine has issued after a game this season, as the shooting guard hasn’t been a great fit for the Kings during his tenure.
On that note, there were big questions surrounding Sacramento’s roster construction, as some felt the team essentially revitalized the Chicago Bulls of the early 2020s, with LaVine and DeMar DeRozan leading the way, and that has led to some predictably poor results so far this year.
With this being the case, trade rumors have been swirling around the Kings all year, with some wondering how much the team could get for players like Domantas Sabonis. LaVine certainly helped his own trade stock rise with his performance Saturday against Miami, a team he has been linked to in hypothetical trades throughout his career. The fact that the team doesn’t have a lot of young talent on the roster could have almost anyone is on the table in that regard.
Either way, the Kings will take the floor next on Monday night when they host the Indiana Pacers. That game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM ET.
