Zion Williamson’s Pelicans Jordan Brand line is officially coming to an end

The New Orleans Pelicans are currently last in the NBA Western Conference at 11-36, potentially looking at another rebuild after the last few seasons of disappointment. The star of the franchise Zion Williamson is doing everything in his power to help return New Orleans to basketball glory, but his journey may look a little different after the announcement that his Jordan Brand the signature line will be nearing its end.

Pelicans’ Zion Williamson first signed a multi-year deal with Jordan Brand back in 2019 during his NBA debut, including the eventual release of his signature Jordan Zion 1 sneaker later in 2021. Since then, Jordan Brand and Williamson have continued to release four name signature modelsadding to existing signing lines like Luka Doncic of the Lakers and Jayson Tatum of the Celtics.

However, Williamson played just 30 games in 2024-25, marking the third season in his career with 30 or fewer regular season games. Moreover, he is caught in a number of off-field controversieswhich could have influenced the decision to renew Jordan Brand’s contract.

In the initial report he came up with SoleRetrieverJordan Brand will not be renewing Zaon Williamson’s signing line after this season, ending his run with Zion 4. Williamson will remain a Jordan Brand athlete, but may look for other options if they arise. For arguably the most hyped prospect to come into the NBA since LeBron James, any brand would consider themselves lucky to have such a talent on their roster. however, many fear Williamson’s prime window is closing fast as his raw talent did not translate into success for his team.

Jordan Brand will continue to complete a series of latest Jordan Zion 4but this will certainly be an interesting off-season for Williamson as he could start shopping for new boot suitors.
