Luka Doncic and Austin Reeves’ hilarious interaction goes viral after Grizzlies game

After Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic’s 44 points led to a 15-point comeback against Memphis Grizzlies in Friday’s 117-112 win, his ridiculous reeling with Austin Reaves went viral on social media. During their media availability, Doncic did not hesitate to jokingly hit Reeves in the midst of an impressive week of production for the Lakers’ top two guards.

While speaking to reporters in the Lakers locker room, Reaves personally thanked Doncic for his 44-point performance in Friday’s come-from-behind win. type of response everyone expected, according to Spectrum Sports Network’s X, formerly Twitter.

“Thank you for doing your job today,” Reaves said, to which Doncic replied, “You’re stupid.”

The playful banter between the two went viral on social media, and it didn’t end with Reeves’ media availability. Soon after, Doncic’s chance became available to the media, as Luka’s 44 points on 14-of-27 shooting, including 6-for-15 from deep, 12 rebounds and six assists, helped erase a 15-point deficit in the second half, where Los Angeles outscored its opponent by 19 points against Grizvic’s 19 points en route to five points (62-5-5).

Doncic finished with 40-plus points in each of the three regular season games, including a game-high 49 points in a 128-110 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Reaves, who scored a career-high 51 points in Sunday’s 127-120 win over the Kings, followed that up with a 41-point game for the second straight night on Monday.

“It’s going to be tough, but like I said, sometimes they’re going to doubt me more. Sometimes I’m not going to be able to score as many goals. And obviously I had some nice shots, I think three, four shots that were crazy shots that I wanted to do, but they were terrible shots. So I have to, like I said before, but I have to know, I have to work on it.”
