Throwing a $25,000 water bottle at Brandon Ingram
It’s an understatement Brandon Ingram couldn’t control his temper this weekend during the Raptors’ trip to Philly. In the middle of the third quarter, Darko Rajaković lets former Pelicans player avenged the gourd by throwing it on the ground. The problem: He ended up in front of a member of the Raptors staff, letting his contents spill out onto the floor in the process.
Before going out, Brandon Ingram also seemed to be complaining about his back, so maybe that’s why he pulled the needle. His gesture was enough to embarrass him anyway, as the game had to be stopped to allow the rest of the staff to clean the floor while Brandon Ingram remained impassive, sitting in his chair.
On the side of the Canadian franchise, we did not react to this gesture of humor, or in any case we did not communicate about it. The NBA, on the other hand, inflicted $25,000 fine former Pelicans.
