Paul George improved the injury report for the Clippers showdown

The Philadelphia 76ers will face the Los Angeles Clippers, and they could get a key player making his season debut. Paul George has not played this season as he’s still recovering from offseason left knee surgery, but has stepped up in recent weeks. Injuries have been the only thing holding the 76ers back this season, and while they’ve had a few to start this season, they’ve been able to overcome them for the most part.

The return of George would be crucial as he will strengthen their wing depth, giving them another scorer and defender.

Paul George’s injury status against the Clippers

It’s George listed as suspicious against the Clippers, and could make his season debut against his former team. About a week ago, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that doctors wanted see the extra strength in George’s left quadriceps to support his knee before he played. It looks like they may have seen all they needed to when he was upgraded on the injury report.

George didn’t have the best season with the 76ers last year, as injuries caught up with him and he played in just 41 games. It started in the preseason when he hyperextended his knee, and from there he didn’t look like the same dominant player that many have seen throughout his career.

It’s hard to say whether George will return to the player he was, but there’s no doubt he can still contribute to the 76ers.

With George expected to return soon, Joel Embiid is still ruled out and will miss his fourth straight game. It is uncertain when he will return, but the good news is that there is no structural damage to his knee.
