“I think I’m reaching for what I can be — a player and a person,” Suggs said, after playing 26 minutes and scoring 23 points. “It’s great to go, it’s great to look back on the past couple of seasons, some of the old ways I used to defend, even before the knee, and just my movement patterns and all that… But I think for myself, it’s about how do I continue to evolve in this league so that I can stay present, continue to improve, continue to help us move up the ranks and I think I’m directly moving forward with that.”

“So, (I’m) just trying to be better for everybody,” Suggs said. “It will come with time. I know I have more steps to take. I have a higher level to be at. So, I’m really just trying to take it day by day, continue to be honest with how I feel — mentally, physically — and just continue to grow, to be honest. It’s on its way. I think I’m in a good time to think about it, and now I’m trying to do everything else, just trying to do everything else. it’s going to come to me.”
