Luka Doncic shares the current plan after the close win against the Jazz

The Los Angeles Lakers moved to 12-4 on the season after escaping with a 108-106 victory over the Utah Jazz on Sunday night. It was Luka Doncic who played for the Lakers on a night where austin reeves’ outside shot wasn’t quite effective, lebron james wasn’t fully grown and deandre ayton had to leave at halftime with a knee injury. In the winning performance, Dončić scored 33 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists, establishing himself as the main man of the Lakers.

In an odd schedule, this Sunday’s game was the Lakers’ first in four days. While an extended absence can be nice, this seemed to destroy his LA rhythm, and it took them a while to hit their collective stride on the road. The Lakers have also been on the road for the most part the past few weeks. Six of their last seven games have come from the friendly confines of the Cripto.com Arena.

Now, the Lakers are ready to return home, with the next four games in their sweet home. And the odds of a four-game homestand looks exciting Doncic, who can’t wait to get the benefits that life in LA brings.

“Going home is great. I get to go to the beach,” Doncic told Spectrum SportsNet’s Mike Trudel after the Lakers’ win, via SB Nation’s Harrison Fagen .

That’s not a perk of the job that came with living in Dallas, so Doncic has to love life with the Lakers, especially when he’s basking in the sunshine.

The The Lakers are currently 2-0 in the group stage of the NBA Cup shares, putting them at the top of Group B at the moment. But on Tuesday, they will face the Los Angeles Clippers in a battle between two undefeated teams in the group. It’s a game that could decide which team makes it out of the group to Vegas.

The week will end with a contest against the Dallas Mavericks, a game in which Doncic should be highly motivated for a good result.
